Your Dallas-Fort Worth Acura Dealers & the Acura Professional Automotive Career Training (PACT) are working to develop the careers of future technicians through local educational programs. The DFW Acura Dealers were proud to support two local high school teams, as they partnered with their local DFW Acura Dealer to compete in the regional 2021 Auto Tech Competition. One team of three seniors from Azle High School trained at school and at Hiley Acura in Fort Worth, while the second team of three seniors from Dallas ISD’s W.H. Adamson High School trained at Goodson Acura. Both teams, along with 23 other regional teams, competed for a chance to win scholarships and tools as they move forward in their career in automotive technology. The 2021 Auto Tech Competition was held at Texas Motor Speedway’s Indy Garage. CAREER OPPORTUNITIES? Career opportunities are available in positions for automotive service technicians in Acura dealerships, independent shops, and automoitve machine shops. In addition, graduates are also employed as service managers, shop foremen, parts managers, sales representatives, or automotive instructors. Graduates with practical experience, education, willingness to work, and a high degree of professionalism may expect to find jobs in middle management or research occupations within major automotive corporations.
