NTXAD Registered Apprenticeship Program

The registered apprenticeship program is a work-based learning model that provides the setting for students to learn manufacturer standards and service protocols directly from the service team at a dealership.  Registered apprentices work alongside dealership staff, giving them the opportunity to forge relationships in the workplace.

The NTXAD Registered Apprenticeship program’s competency-based approach includes 364 contact hours of related technical instructional hours, 3,000 hours of on-the-job learning (OJL). The duration of the program is between 18-24 months, depending upon the knowledge and experience of the apprentice.  All apprentices are required to serve three months/ninety day/500 OJL hours. Eligible candidates include full-time auto tech students and incumbent workers.
